What does lola perfume smell like

Well I notice in any case only something artificial with disturbing or strict leg note. Has not pleased me. Durability also not so good.

Ca 2 hours on the wrist noticed. The bottle, however, I find very appealing as with all Marc Jacobs fragrances. Lola by Marc Jacobs has become one of these perfumes that were first very popular, and now due to being discontinued are rare and expensive to buy.

I have a 30 ml bottle of it that I sort of treasure now. To me Lola is not light and not very lighthearted either. I never can wear it casually or for everyday. I only feel like wearing it at night for going out. Which sadly has not been a thing to do for almost a year now due to the pandemic. I think it complements a burgundy velvet dress or a little black dress kind of occasion.

The flowers are made out of vinyl plastic, but the total effect is very chic with a rock star glamour kind of twist from the 80s, but not old fashioned at all. It is warm and a little sweet, romantic but heartbreaking at the same time. So hard to describe it! Top Review Now I finally have her, the Lola, and all my expectations have been fulfilled: Elegant, well-balanced, modern, but not for the hell of it.

Just to be different. A touch of pop art, also a touch of modernism, but not a classic, despite plastic applications noble - the bottle is a feast for the eyes! Yes, the bottle completely fulfils my expectations, I am thrilled. The fragrance itself also meets my expectations. This note was also in there and spoiled it for me, because after a short time it annoyed me so much and I could hardly notice anything else beside it.

This leads to the assumption that it really is galaxolide, i. In the background, I can see desperate fruits that might be beautiful, but they have no choice but to drop their sails, drop their petals or jump off the tree in the face of the galaxolide storm. Lola is one of my favorite fruity florals which is not typically a group I pick from often.

The pink pepper provides a little spiciness and intrigue to the rose, and together, they perfectly complement each other. The pear is just the right amount of fruitiness without overpowering the soft florals, musk and sweet vanilla. Lola is gentle, buoyant.

Post Review. Lola is one of my favorite fruity florals which is not typically a group I pick from often. It's soft, pretty, and unassuming. The pink pepper provides a little spiciness and intrigue to the rose, and together, they perfectly complement each other.

The pear is just the right amount of fruitiness without overpowering the soft florals, musk and sweet vanilla. Lola is gentle, buoyant. Purely delightful. To mimic another reviewer below me: Lola absolutely has a '90s throwback quality. That's actually the entire reason I decided to try it.

I think most times I see Marc Jacobs perfumes with their flamboyant toy-like bottles, I can't take them seriously. But Lola helped me gain perspective on the matter. Especially going back to that '90s mentality - Couldn't you see the kitschy Lola bottle sitting atop Lisa Turtle's dresser from Saved by the Bell? Or perhaps Blossom Russo's?

Heck, one of my favorite perfumes in the '90s, Fetish, had a ridiculous bottle. Which is one of the reasons I tried it in the first place! Lastly, I have an odd story, or, perhaps a comparison to add. Lola isn't exactly a perfume I would've even taken a second look at if not for searching high and low for similar scents to Avon's discontinued 'Natori'.

I recently read that a knock-off of Lola, called "Hola", was a dead ringer for the gloriously '90s Natori. I thought, "Well, what about actual Lola? But I wasn't disappointed by Lola in the slightest - it's a charming scent that I'm glad I happened to stumble upon. Genre: Fruity Floral Lola explodes from its bottle in a blaze of neon-colored fruit that streaks directly toward shampoo or public restroom hand soap.

It settles into a tropical fruit guava? Calyx used pleasantly bitter green notes to offset the sweetness of its fruit and rose. Lola is all canned fruit syrup. I waited patiently while Lola played itself out, hoping that it would develop into something more interesting, or at least less cloying. Instead it just congealed into a block of sweet and intensely unnatural vanilla. This scent is LOUD.

Loud as in, keep it in a locked box if there are small children in your home. I wish I could say otherwise, but Lola is a very, very bad fragrance. On the other hand, a purse spray might be handy for deterring muggers. I extremely loveeeeeeee the fact that it's long lasting on me and attracts compliments from people around me. Even my mom and sister in laws loves it. They thought that it is a perfect perfume and suits me very well.

The price are ok for me. Would I buy it again? Probably not because even though it attracts compliments from both women and men around me, I dislike the smell of it on me. Am keeping it though in case my mood changes and for my sisters and mom when they come over. I asked my sister to buy me this perfume for Christmas two years ago, and it's been sitting in the box for two years collecting dust.

I wa drawn to the bottle and I am an avid user of Daisy so I thought it to be a sister perfume, so I got a sample from the perfumer and I found it to be very strong, much stronger than Daisy and very much so in your face. I immediately thought of wearing it while out on the town with my friends and to parties cause it has that musky - fruity seductiveness to it. I've started wearing it today because my bottle of Daisy is running low and I liked it more than my other perfumes on my shelf, some o which smell like old ladies, no offense to Sarah Jessica Parker.

Lovely and Covet I consider this my alter-ego scent because it's the complete opposite of Daisy, but I dont understand the bad reviews. I think the bottle is perfect for the scent. It's dark like a wine rouge and has a flower on the top which in reminiscent of what a flower truly is, the sexual reproductive organs of the plant. Thought i would love it but nope, it doesnt smell as flora as its bottle cap appears.

Yet the big flower cap takes too much of space to be kept. Regret buying it. My favorite perfume. Not everyone's cup of tea as it can be very overpowering and very floral.

I first smelled this is and instantly adored it and it has been my treat perfume ever since. I'm writing this review on a solely reminiscent stance. I had it a few years ago and it's my favorite fragrance to date. I was wearing it at a really good time in my life so it makes me feel really Not my favorite by a long shot.

Very generic floral scent that just doesn't jive with me. I bought this on sale unsniffed and hated it. I wore it anyway for awhile, but it's such a bad perfume. Here's our privacy policy , and a handy emoticon chart. Your review is right on. In some ways, I do think MJ would have been wiser to make some minor variation to Daisy and then just stick it in this bottle.

I mean, Daisy was also pretty meh but it was awfully likable about it. And any and all perfumers that get stuck with the commercial stuff. I may end up loving it.

Yes, I suppose so. I think I just want someone to blame for the mass-marketed crap… but I guess the mass-marketed crap has its place, and I should just shut up. An academic, for instance, who also writes for popular magazines. Why keep your skill and experience just for the elite? The problem in the perfume world I suppose is that being stuck with commercial stuff means being stuck with a low budget.

Not very articulate today… Yes! But yes, the small budget and the quality of the materials is what I would think would be frustrating.

It is basically an expression of indifference…to me it means a scent is neither good nor bad, but not worth getting worked up about either way. A cheapie 30 ml could be perfect just to get your hands on the cute bottle. Thanks R for clearing that up for me. I think every language has its onomatopoeia words, but I believe none has as many as American English, I love it!

Very useful tool for expression! I think no dialect in the history of language has been as changeable and has evolved as quickly sometimes to its own detriment as American English. Oh by the way, Robin you may not have mentioned this …but that bottle is just cute as the dickens! Too much trouble to leave the house for goodies like that…. What you need is Keurig single cup coffee maker works for almost instant hot tea too! Ever go to Dairy Queen and have a Mocha Moo-latte???? Verra verra yummy.

More for ME then!!! Chocolate , ice cream and coffee…. Gracious, do not smell all of that in one day! Bloomies also had testers of Couture Couture, so you can knock off both of those there.

I have not yet seen the Mariah or the My Glow, much less the Britney. I tried to be dismissive of Daisy, but it is indeed very nice. Daisy, IMHO, hit its mark perfectly.

I agree with nearly everyone that that bottle is cute as the dickens. I would definitely not kick it off the top of my dresser. Still, I like Daisy better. Adorable, but … more pink pepper? Is there a global surplus on pink pepper that perfume companies are buying up? I think perfumers just like it. Of course, as tempted as I am to buy it just for the bottle, it would be kind of silly since I keep them all in their boxes anyway.

I thought that was very funny! So nothing special a? Which of the two juices did you prefer? I cant wait to see that bottle! Marc should really do another mens scent! Heres hoping he releases one sooner then later! Of them all, I like the original Marc Jacobs for women the best, and Blush second. I have not cared for the Splash series at all.
